We are living in this world because of our karma, be it good or bad. We earn to eat food, but these days we are giving more importance to our expectations. Life is all about food. Food, be a food donor or live in a food scarcity you will generate karma, good or bad, your destiny. What you will get to eat in your future or in next incarnation, your karma will decide.
I would like to share one story, a story which is still so fresh in my memory. Story says,
Once their was a old begger who has nothing. He used to roam here & there for food & he speak only one thing all the time, 'jo tera he wo tujh tak wapis ayega'. One lady used to serve him roti daily. But that begger never thanked, instead he took the roti & would say 'jo tera he wo tujh tak wapis ayega'. This cycle continues for longer period. One day the lady was so angry, she was making roti, she thought that now the begger will come, he will not praise me but 2 baate mujhe hi suna dega. I dont understand his problem. He should say thank you. He should give respect. In her anger she was only blaming that begger. & atlast she got an idea. She thought to kill the begger, she put rat killer in the roti. She heard someone at the door. And suddenly she felt like what am I doing, I mixed poison in the roti, how could I do this. She took 2 - 3 minutes to get back to normal. She took normal fresh roties & give it to the begger, and the begger as usual said 'jo tera he wo tujh tak wapis ayega'. She just smiled, came back in kitchen & burned the poisonous roti. On his way begger saw one boy who was not in condition to stand properly, that boy was so much tired & looking like he had had nothing since so many days. The begger gave his roti to the boy thinking he needs it most. Gave him water too. After eating roti that boy got consciousness & energy to stand up. He said thank you to the begger, but the begger as usual said, 'jo tera he wo tujh tak wapis ayega'. After 1 hour bell rings & that lady opens the door & she was awestruck to see her son in that condition. She took him in. Feed him. After sometime when boy got fine he told how he got looted by cheaters. He was roaming here & there since so many days, he was struggling to get back to home. And today, he was almost going to die but one begger saved him giving his roti. I said thank you but the begger strangely replied 'jo tera he wo tujh tak wapis ayega'. That lady was filled with so much grief. She now got the meaning of 'jo tera he wo tujh tak wapis ayega'.
A heart touching story with so many messages.
Your Karma will save you in the end.
I remember when I was small my Dadi used to shout if we mess with food around plate. During our childhood what we learn is not to waste food, even in our cultures food is treated as God. In one of the fogiveness class when Sir said we should respect food if not we will not get respect. He told before coming in our plate somehow food is also living thing(be it veg/non veg). At that time I got connection ha, bachpan me sikha tha. And after some days when I was reading the book "Life's Amazing Secrets by Gaur Gopal Das" I read line saying he just hit the bucket with leg & realised what he did, if I will throw or disrespect these small small daily things after somedays I will start this with my relations also. Deep truly, if you can understand. At that point I got, it is real we always do that in anger or frustration our kids or our food only suffer. We just throw or scream at the things or the people we have near. Yes, I am trying consciously, from that day not to move or hit things with leg( I wish I can do that till end). And it just remind me why not to hit & hate food. Why not to waste food. This all we already learnt in our childhood. Still we do not follow it at some point.
I have seen many people who dont waste food; some even after finishing food, clean their plate with water & drink that water; some always praise for food be it only roti-chutney or 56-bhog, they always have praise for it. It is very hard for me to always praise but I want to learn that art, atleast not to say food is bad. Jo he kha lo chup-chaap. Haha.
Haa, when I was newly married it was hard to adjust with food for me(many of us in same boat), within 2-3 months I got low on Calcium, iron & B12 levels. After 2-3 months of supplements I realise in sab se kuch nahi hone wala, yaha mera bhai roj nahi ayega pair dabane, isliye jo milta wo khushi se kha. Then only I started to eat food properly and started to adjust with food.
After doing Dietetics I am completely following principle that, "EAT FOOD AS MEDICINE, OTHERWISE YOU HAVE TO TAKE MEDICINE AS FOOD". So true.
When we learn or read about Karma we focus on only being kind with people, but we are wrong, we should focus on food & other materialistic things too. No one will like to get hit like bucket.
When we are angry, irritated, frustrated same type of energy we put in the food which we cook and it changes the vibrations and energy of the house. Try this; make food in anger and you will feel that the food is not tasty. And some day when you are so happy you will automatically cook yummy & variety in food. So try to make food in good mood, atleast not to spoil others mood. That is why our grandmothers used to chant mantra or sing religious song while cooking, to improve the vibrations of food.
Food & Karma are 2 different topics but they will create impact on your thinking, on your positivity, on your energy and automatically on your health & healing.
This is my small learning from life. Trying to improve myself from it.
Learning is daily process & as we say, jab jago tab sabera!!!

Very nice Vaishaliji.. each and every sentence is true.. even though we know some.. we will take them granted such as you said hitting the bucket or throwing glass.. clothes..anything and scolding kids .. we will forget that they also feel bad with our karma.. learning slowly to be calm.. Thanks for sharing this 😊🤝💐💐 I will wait for next one
