Grow And Evolve

Disclaimer: Whatever I will write here, you will say you already know it. Real problem with us, humans, is we know everything just we don't follow it, or we don't want to.

Grow! Growing is not a problem, even pig and donkey do grow, even snail and snake do grow, even baby in womb and 99 year old grandma too grow.

But growing is to develop yourself into human who always tries to improve everyday, every moment. Ahhh when I heard grow not only physically but also mentally and spiritually I was like whaaat ab ye kya hota he? But becoming mentally strong is growing, learning your life lessons is growing, keeping patience is growing, taking care is growing. Grow like a tree giving fruits to others, giving shelters to others. Yes tree grows but for others. Learning Karma lessons, solving day to day queries of your life is a feeling 'what I am upto'. But your Karma, your God did this to make you learn, to make you grow, to make you evolve.

In Mahabharat, Krishn gives Gita Gyan to Arjun to make him grow, to make us grow. Arjun follow his path so Arjun get evolved. When you learn your life lesson and follow it you evolve. Stick to these evolution just like early humans to homo sapiens learned and we evolved to "human".

Evolve! To develop oneself not only physically but also mentally and spiritually. As we grow we evolve and we meet our self our higher soul, our God and that is the purpose of every being. (in short... Swarg me jana he na?... hahaha) !!!

Whatever we are doing, whatever is happening to us is because of our Karma which may be good, may be bad.

We always feel "why me?" Because you are not learning lesson. Say suppose aap hamesha jit te jit te haar jate (means there is still lack of practice) or when no one listens to you ( you must be like, this is daily routine no one listens to me, no one cares for me, first ask yourself "do you listen to them?")

Here this lesson you have to learn, break that pattern; if you want attention, give attention.

This is how you will learn, grow and follow it to evolve. And of course in this process of growth let's help each other.

Thank you.

Food & Karma

We are living in this world because of our karma, be it good or bad. We earn to eat food, but these days we are giving more importance to our expectations.  Life is all about food. Food, be a food donor or live in a food scarcity you will generate karma, good or bad, your destiny. What you will get to eat in your future or in next incarnation, your karma will decide.

I would like to share one story, a story which is still so fresh in my memory. Story says,
Once their was a old begger who has nothing. He used to roam here & there for food & he speak only one thing all the time, 'jo tera he wo tujh tak wapis ayega'. One lady used to serve him roti daily. But that begger never  thanked, instead he took the roti & would say 'jo tera he wo tujh tak wapis ayega'. This cycle continues for longer period. One day the lady was so angry, she was making roti, she thought that now the begger will come, he will not praise me but 2 baate mujhe hi suna dega. I dont understand his problem. He should say thank you. He should give respect. In her anger she was only blaming that begger. & atlast she got an idea. She thought to kill the begger, she put rat killer in the roti. She heard someone at the door. And suddenly she felt like what am I doing, I mixed poison in the roti, how could I do this. She took  2 - 3 minutes to get back to normal. She took normal fresh roties & give it to the begger, and the begger as usual said 'jo tera he wo tujh tak wapis ayega'. She just smiled, came back in kitchen & burned the poisonous roti. On his way begger saw one boy who was not in condition to stand properly, that boy was so much tired & looking like he had had nothing since so many days. The begger gave his roti to the boy thinking he needs it most. Gave him water too. After eating roti that boy got consciousness & energy to stand up. He said thank you to the begger, but the begger as usual said, 'jo tera he wo tujh tak wapis ayega'. After 1 hour bell rings & that lady opens the door & she was awestruck to see her son in that condition. She took him in. Feed him. After sometime when boy got fine he told how he got looted by cheaters. He was roaming here & there since so many days, he was struggling to get back to home. And today, he was almost going to die but one begger saved him giving his roti. I said thank you but the begger  strangely replied 'jo tera he wo tujh tak wapis ayega'. That lady was filled with so much grief. She now got the meaning of 'jo tera he wo tujh tak wapis ayega'.
A heart touching story with so many messages.
Your Karma will save you in the end.
I remember when I was small my Dadi used to shout if we mess with food around plate. During our childhood what we learn is not to waste food, even in our cultures food is treated as God. In one of the fogiveness class when Sir said we should respect food if not we will not get respect. He told before coming in our plate somehow food is also living thing(be it veg/non veg). At that time I got connection ha, bachpan me sikha tha. And after some days when I was reading the book "Life's Amazing Secrets by Gaur Gopal Das" I read line saying he just hit the bucket with leg & realised what he did, if I will throw or disrespect these small small daily things after somedays I will start this with my relations also. Deep truly, if you can understand. At that point I got, it is real we always do that in anger or frustration our kids or our food only suffer. We just throw or scream at the things or the people we have near. Yes, I am trying  consciously, from that day not to move or hit things with leg( I wish I can do that till end). And it just remind me why not to hit & hate food. Why not to waste food. This all we already learnt in our childhood. Still we do not follow it at some point.
I have seen many people who dont waste food; some even after finishing food, clean their plate  with water & drink that water; some always praise for food be it only roti-chutney or 56-bhog, they always have praise for it. It is very hard for me to always praise but I want to learn that art, atleast not to say food is bad. Jo he kha lo chup-chaap. Haha.
Haa, when I was newly married it was hard to adjust with food for me(many of us in same boat), within 2-3 months I got low on Calcium, iron & B12 levels. After 2-3 months of supplements I realise in sab se kuch nahi hone wala, yaha mera bhai roj nahi ayega pair dabane, isliye jo milta wo khushi se kha. Then only I started to eat food properly and started to adjust with food.
After doing Dietetics I am  completely following principle that, "EAT FOOD AS MEDICINE, OTHERWISE YOU HAVE TO TAKE MEDICINE AS FOOD". So true.
When we learn or read about Karma we focus on only being kind with people, but we are wrong, we should focus on food & other materialistic things too. No one will like to get hit like bucket.
When we are angry, irritated, frustrated same type of energy we put in the food which we cook and it changes the vibrations and energy of the house. Try this; make food in anger and you will feel that the food is not tasty. And some day when you are so happy you will automatically cook yummy & variety in food. So try to make food in good mood, atleast not to spoil others mood. That is why our grandmothers used to chant mantra or sing religious song while cooking, to improve the vibrations of food.

Food & Karma are 2 different topics but they will create impact on your thinking, on your positivity, on your energy and automatically on your health & healing.
This is my small learning from life. Trying to improve myself from it.
Learning is daily process & as we say, jab jago tab sabera!!!

Energising Thoughts

 Energising Thoughts

"Socho ki jhilo ka shahar hoo,
Laharoo pe apna ek ghar hoo!!!"

What a song!!!
Will take you in surprise of your thoughts. Super imagination, isn't it?
Thinking is a process continuously working in our mind, may it be consciously
or subconsciously. Our mind is continuously thinking. And these thoughts make us who we are. Think positive & you will be happy positive person. Think negative & you will be dukhi aatma for everyone. Your thoughts and your energy will -

decide your power,
decide your healing,
decide your success,
decide your future.
One person on an average have thousands of thoughts per day. If you are continuously working towards negativity, life around you will be negative, people will not enjoy your company, you will have low self esteem & you will be a drama queen. If you are working towards positivity, you will see every situation as a lesson. (And we are here to learn lessons of life).
Remember, if you will sow mango you will get mango. Just like that take positive outcome of every situation, positive learnings from from every situation.

2020 was a hard year for almost everyone. But whenever I did my meditation (in last month), I always saw most of my happy moments in 2020. I am into Pranic Healing, but before 2020 somehow I didn't get chance to go out for nurturing and extra sessions. But this virtual 2020 made everything easy. I did all my sessions & meditations almost daily.
This makes me so happy, so positive. It was like all God's blessings comes true. Because my focus was on doing these sessions, & I got the chance.
You focus your energy on anything and you will get what you want, but make sure it should not harm others.
Dont blame others for your thought  process.
Thoughts will come and go, but they will make you the person you are.

Let's try one experiment:
Sit down, take few deep breaths.
Take your left hand forward. Look it & blame it as much you can. Abuse it. How you are feeling in that hand? Heavy...
Now take your right hand foward and love it. Shower all your love and praise on it. Isn't your right hand feeling light? This is how thought works. Focus on a thing & your energy will change (flick both of your hands & just love them).

You must have lots of problem with friends, with collegues, with partner/spouse, with in-laws but your one thought of positivity and one step towards happy relationship can change everything.
Believe me
AND it is not only for Relationship, it is for your Career, it is for your Health, it is for yourself. You can change everything with 1 simple thought. Just like Stephen Hawking.

The best example for this:
The most common problem most of us relate is :
'Mere bachche meri sunte hi nahi!'
(Aahhh, first tell me do you listen to your kids attentively???)
Here try this -
: After your prayers, (or when you have time) just close your eyes, take few deep breaths & visualise you and your kid having gala time together.(This is your thought process).
: Not only visualise but apply it also, sit near them, talk with them as long as you can, play with them. Let them have a feeling that you are there with them, not irritated version of yours but patience one. (This is implementation of what you want).

In the end your intention matters a lot.

What I have learn from energy healing, thought processing, mind power, is that- people will try to pull you down; but with all your positivity, your power you can bloom without a doubt. All you need is patience and courage. Don't be a backstabber, help others in their lessons, their learning, their growth and we shall all evolve together.
Thank you!

Ditching Diets

When I was thinking to write on 'Ditching Diet', I thought why do all diet Trends fail. I guess because in everyones subconscious mind there is always doubt about these trends. & when there is doubt, your mind dont give you 100% result.
Diet fads are very common from last 2-3 years. Now a days everyone is trying this or that trend still no one is satisfied. Come on how can temporary things give you satisfaction for lifetime.
Keto, fat first, intermittent, GM diet, low carb, vegan, paleo and so on list is long of dieting trends & no matter how much you spend on all these stuff, you still feel I am not loosing, I am tired, I am feeling dull, I am having hair fall & what will you miss the most- your daily eating habit, your daily food, even cheating days will not satisfy you & cravings of sugar, junk, fried food will increase only. When you have daily balanced meal without thinking healthy & weightloss stuff you will be more than satisfied. Like super breakfast, daily masala chay, 3 course lunch, yummy snacks (mom made chiwda/ khakra/laddoo) & dinner like dal rice/ roti sabji/khichdi kadhi/paratha.
And with all these occasionlly your favourite food pav bhaji, dosa, idli sambhar, chola bhatura, pani puri, laddus, halwas & other sweets..  You will never feel guilty, you will never feel craving and to add on you will happily loose weight without being vegan or without doing fat first thing.
I really dont understand log kya kya soch sakte he, if you are lactose intolerant or vegan they made almond milk or soya milk. I mean what is the point if you want to be vegan stay vegan why you want to chipkao anything on the name of milk. Hadd to jab hui when I heard cauliflower rice, koi bhi 'aam insaan' will think fulgobhi ka pulao hoga. But I was like more than in shock state cauliflower rice is grated cauliflower which is considerd as rice and make pulao with vegetable (matlab no role of rice still name is cauliflower rice), all this just to remove rice from backstage. OMG I felt like "bhai, nahi khana he chawal mat kha" aur bhi option he atleast dont insult anyone, to kya hua rice dont have feeling it must be hurt(ohh nooo) .
Your mind knows what rice is, what milk is, still you are trying to make fun of it, do you think it will spare you, no it will make you 'double mota'. I have given you only these 2 examples, list is long for these trends :
• golden milk/ turmeric latte (in our simple language haldi ka dudh).
• Ghee in coffee with warm water(not for me pls).
• Moringa powder(sambhar or kadhi falli which we used only in winters).
• Clarified butter or golden butter (ghee) aur bhi naam he ghee k A2 cow ghee , organic ghee (ghee ki to chandi chandi ho gayi).
• 100 types of teas without sugar, without milk even sometime without chai patti(ohh nooo).
• Soy paneer/ tofu (I wonder).
• Gluten free (bachpan se wheat roti & other roties kha rahe he tab kabhi gluten nahi dikha na hi usne pareshan kiya).
• Sorry but list is long .
Eat what you can sustain lifelong, dont go blind over these 15 days or one month diet trends. The one who does not keep you happy lifelong do you think it will keep you happy even for a month.
And yes you all might have heard a news of Bengali actress who recently died because of Keto diet.
Dont make & dont believe these trends go make you weak in your knees, simply ditch these diets, eat what you have seen since your childhood, even dont make your kid the culprit one. I believe diets are for those who are really ill or have this or that problem or if doctors suggest them to do so. If you are not active, not doing workout properly, not having food properly, not sleeping properly then work on these things instead of focusing only on diet, diet, diet... In our culture even God loves 56 bhog, & when they can have it is 'Prasad' only, it is gift of God, gift of nature, gift of our ancestor our mother that we can make these wonderful dishes, so eat them as they are, as they should.
Have Temptinghealth.

Counting Calories

Counting Calories

I will not have sweets, I am getting fat...
Don’t want rice, it is so starchy...
Potato, I to avoid it, you know calories...
So many blah... blah...

Excuse me, why you are counting calories. Just focus on mindful eating.(Anyway not everyone has done dietetics to count calories).

When we should focus on eating we are busy with mobile and TV and ready to blame calories of food. We eat extra, then we feel guilty, then we almost ‘dhindora pito' that I have to workout extra tomorrow .

This is oily, This is sugary and This is starchy was not in list 10 years back. Ohh, come on! Focus on your food first. Focus on your body’s need. Focus on culture. Focus on environment.

But you know blaming someone who can’t say anything is easy. Do you know how many calories a roti (be it wheat or jowar or bajra) has, rice has, a potato has or simple fruits which you eat daily have. I am sure you will say rice is heavy, starchy it has so many calories. Let me tell you 30 gm of uncooked rice & 30 gm of wheat flour has same calories. It seems 2 roti is enough but, 1/2 katori rice will make you feel, 'kuch khaya nahi'. And then eating double will lead to bloating, heaviness. At party or at restaurant 1 slice of pizza (200Kcal) is not enough, you always want more almost half of your breakfast. And then next day all guilt will come out with extra dose of exercise or fasting. Arrre! It’s okay. Don’t punish your mind by feeling guilty and don’t punish your body by keeping it hungry or by tiring it. Blaming the food or feeling guilty is not the solution. I mean it is so simple- you are eating extra, you are not paying attention to body signal or to satiety signal and you are blaming food and of course, counting calories again.

Yes our body, our mind do signal when to eat, when to stop, but we are almost ignoring it. And yes in Indian culture we should not waste food. So what do we do?
We eat the leftover, if 1 roti remains in dabba then your mom will tell 'Half you have and half I will have'. Then both will end up eating extra. That is where gaining & other stuff starts. It is not that eating this or that is the culprit. I have heard that, it is written in Ayurveda, "75% of space must always remain in the stomach".
In simple language, don’t make your new rule. Enjoy your food as you used to before social media.
Sit down... Thank to God... Listen to your stomach.. Take only half of what you think you need... Look at food with respect ( it is not a task to finish)... Chew properly... Relish it by licking your finger... If you need, take 1 more serving(e.g. if you have 2 roti daily then have 1 in 1st serving if hungry take half serving more)...
Eat in every 2 to 3 hours in small amount for all health problems. If you want to eat both rice and roti eat them both in 2 hour gap. This mindful eating techniques, portion control, satiety signals all will help you to heal yourself without counting calories. Eat Gulab Jamun (as a meal itself), but don’t be guilty. Don’t make body to compensate for your guilt.
And yes, be as your Ma/Dadi/Nani, they never counted calories before feeding you. So don’t count calories before feeding the kids.

One simple rule, “Eat food as food don’t make it feast”. It doesn't mean you cant have pizza or pav-bhaji. Eat but dont count & dont over eat & dont make it daily habit.

(Yes move more & be active but not at the cost of your health).

Eat healthy,
Eat balanced,
Have Temptinghealth.

B for Breakfast

B for Breakfast

B for ball, B for bat, B for basket...  we all know. But why did I name this blog B for Breakfast?
Females in my family are always in so much hurry (I am sure everywhere), in morning, that they dont have time for doing breakfast (including me sometimes).
And the myth around not doing breakfast is
1)'...then it will be 3 meals a day so breakfast will add up extra calorie' .
2) 'my father has diabetes if i'll eat extra I'll gain extra which will leads to diabetes'.
3) 'subah subah kisko bhuk lagti he, puja baaki he, kaam baki he...'
4)'I had my tea/ coffee & it is enough for me'.
...
I know list is long...
But all these females never forget to feed breakfast to other family members,
" he/she has school,
he/she has to go to work/ office,
they have to take medicine" .
In all list is endless but they (females) are not in the list. Even they offer breakfast to God but not to themselves because "time nahi he"!!!
Why B for Breakfast then? Because I think in school itself everyone should learn why breakfast is important meal of the day. Everyone should know what they are missing with skipping breakfast.
The famous saying
"Eat breakfast like a King
Lunch like a Prince
& dinner like a Pauper".
So why breakfast like the King:
• To boost your day.
• To be energetic throughout the day.
Break + fast = breakfast.
The logic goes like this, you are breaking the long around 8 hrs gap of fasting so it comes as breakfast.
When we sleep we stop working but our brain, our digestive system & other system dont stop working. They cant sleep like us. So, after the hard work of night all organs needs energy which comes from what we eat in breakfast. If we will skip breakfast till the time of lunch, brain will appear foggy. Which will cause irritation, low energy, dullness, frustation.
And to adjust all this we will need boost of breakfast which must be healthy. Whatever we have will absorbs all the nutrients from the meal & it will digest well, giving us the boost of energy.
Not having breakfast & having only tea/ coffee is the only way to increase acidity & headaches in future. Then comes new myth, "dont drink tea/ coffee empty stomach so I have it with 2 biscuits or tiklas/suaali "  ..
Ooohhh my Goddd!!!
This is the biggest reason for acidity & weightgain. Then again, I have only 2 meals a day still I am gaining so much.
Okay! Okay!! Okay!!!
Now forget all these things.
Breakfast and why we must have it? Here I would like to give one simple example, whenever we do fast for whole day like Karwa Chauth when it is time for breaking the fast what we crave for eating most? Yes most of the answer is sweets. If sweet is not the answer still Mom or MIL will force to eat sweet. Their reason is "energy milegi". Infact the night before fast also they will forcefully feed sweets so that we will have energy next day. (Thanks to all Moms & MILs. )
I am sure they dont know what sugar will do. Still they only know you will get energy.
Now what sugar will do? Sugar (& other carbs also)  breaks down into glycogen  which will be stored in liver by body to give you dose of energy when body needs it.
Same thing happens when we do breakfast.
The food which we will eat will break down in stomach, and every nutrition from it will do their exact work. They will get digest properly.
Breakfast will kickstart your metabolism.
It helps in burn calories throghout the day.
Breakfast gives energy to focus at work or at school.
Stabilises blood sugar level.
It will keep cholesterol in check.
When to eat breakfast?
Within 2 to 3 hours after waking up.
What if I am running late?
This is best excuse to skip breakfast. But there are so many grab & go ideas. Like
●parathas/theplas(so many vegetables,so many options even paneer & dals can be in paratha).
What are the options for easy & healthy breakfast?
India is a diverse country. Food options are also not limited. From east to west, from north to south you can choose varieties.
● poha- veg poha/ potato poha/ onion poha (maharashtriyan style)/ matar poha(rajsthani style) /dahi poha
● upma- veg upma/ onion tomato upma/ upma with coconut chutney
● idli- idli coconut chutney/ podi idli/ idli sambhar
● Dosa
● uttapam- veg/onion/tomato/chutney.
● missal- (maharastriyan delicasy)
● sabudana - khichdi/ wada
● dhokla- rava/besan/moong daal/chana daal
● childa- veg/ besan/ moong dal/paneer
● puri - sabji or chhola/ roti sabji/ paratha sabji
●paratha - with pickle/ dahi/ groundnut chutney.
● egg- veg omlette/ boil egg/ egg toast.
These are simple more than 30 (as you can keep switching between options depends on avaibility of your choice) options which I know & can cook (p.s.: I am vegetarian). I am sure you all know lot more other ideas too. To name some, samosa & kachori can also be there in list (only once in a month).
For your convienience you can keep ingredients ready for all of the above by night itself. Like batter for idli, dhokla, dosa, even you can keep upma ready just put water make it boil & ready to eat.
Why not to skip breakfast?
The biggest reason, if you will skip breakfast you will end up in eating sugary or oily or eating extra later in the day, which will end up in extra calories, extra weight gain.
You may have migrains, heart problem, sugar level imbalance.
What shall we not eat as breakfast?
Unless & untill its emergency dont go for packet food. Not even bread, cornflakes & porridge. No juices in packs.
If you are in real hurry you can have fruits & nuts and make sure have meal early.
To sum up, to save your body from unwanted diseases in future make habit of eating breakfast. Specially pay attention to the females of the family. To save them from aneamia, PMS, thyroid.
EATING BREAKFAST HAS LONG TERM HEALTH BENEFITS.
Wish you all Temptinghealth
Vaishali.

Anti-ageing to Age-gracefully

"From Anti-ageing to Age-gracefully"

"Age is just a number- Cecelia Ahern " Beautiful n meaningful thought.
But "Aging" the term and first thing comes in your mind,
Oh! I will get wrinkles,
Ohh! I will get dark spots,
loose skin and blah blah!!...
And then you will think about some parlour treatment, injections and some so called 'mahange wale' cream.
Hold on.. hold on.. I am not doing any advertisement but did you ever thought about your Mom or Dadi's & Nani's looks?
They are so beautiful?,
their glow?..
Answer: Yes
But they ever used all these things to get themselves 'anti-age' look.
Answer: naah.
Now you go to them and tell your any skin or hair problem. They will have dozens of solution just from their kitchens only, yes you read it right from kitchen only... Many of you must be aware but 'time kiske Paas Hai'.
But I wonder, do really they sit and apply those so called face packs? No!!
I have seen them always in a hurry! When they work with milk or cream they just apply it on face not even bother to look in mirror that if it gets applied evenly. They are always on the go, when they do Pooja, remaining sandalwood paste is their face pack. Then from Pooja room to kitchen they go applying it... Like this so many examples are there. There are lots of varieties of food in the kitchen which you can apply on the go and which makes your skin glow, radiate, shine just think before throwing them and using them.
"From fruits and vegetables to home plants; from any type of flour to scraps of Almonds, oranges, potatoes; and Oh my God!!! there are so many ways & ideas to work on.
Some of them are:
1. Besan- for oily skin and scrub.
2. Cucumber- for wrinkles and dark circles.
3. Curd- for dandruff.
4. Lemon- for nails, for dandruff.
5. Honey- for bright look.
6. Sandal paste- for pimples.
7. Multani mitti- for oily skin, for tightening.
8. Papaya- for wrinkles & glowing skin.
9. Tomato- blackheads & shrinking of pores.
10. Scrap of almond or Orange- for Scrub, removing dead skin.
11. And above all of course the basic ROSE WATER- it gives soothing and calming effect to your skin & it can go with all of the above options.
Oh! List is long, hold on!! you just tell me name of ingredient and I can say its used for 'anti aging' and you can just give it a try.
You will be more than glowing after all of the kitchen treatments, Hahaha!!!.
About ' Mujhe yeh cream Hona/ Mujhe pimples aa gaye mumma, dont be sad!
Wait, relax!
1. Think what is wrong in diet (remember sirf oily Nahin khana ya mango Nahin khana is not solution).
2. Think about your sleeping pattern.
3. Do some meditation daily.
4. See if you are on medication.
5. Work on your stress level
??
These all matters too and you have to work on these too. Enjoy life!
Accept you as you are and you will "Age gracefully"...

Grow And Evolve

Disclaimer: Whatever I will write here, you will say you already know it. Real problem with us, humans, is we know everything just we don...
